SPRING SHOOT DATE CHANGE!

 

 

Please Note:  The dates of the Dayton Photo Shoot have changed. The 2011 Spring Shoot will be held in Dayton, Ohio, May 11-14. The headquarters hotel will be the Dayton Marriott.  See the article on Dayton in Viewfinder Vol. 43, No. 2, to be printed in June 2010.

 

 

The 2011 Annual Meeting will be held in Pittsburgh, PA, October 12-16!  The headquarters hotel will be the Holiday Inn Select in Oakland, near the campuses of University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon.

 

 

 

WETZLAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 23-29, 2010

 

The Leica Historical Society is pleased to announce its 42nd Annual Meeting, to be held in Wetzlar, Germany this fall.  The headquarters hotel is the charming Wetzlarer Hof located in historic Wetzlar.

Participants are strongly advised to take out trip cancellation and medical evacuation insurance when traveling to Germany.  Please read the LHSA Cancellation Policy.

LEICA AKADEMIE REGISTRATION

The Leica Akademie will be held on Wednesday, September 29, as part of the Wetzlar Annual Meeting. This year's Akademie will be held in Hessenpark outside Wetzlar.  Hessenpark is an open air museum on 150 acres with dozens of historic buildings exhibiting 400 years of rural life in Germany.

 

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION.  A morning session on compact cameras will review and utilize Leica products ranging from the X1 to the V-Lux 20.  The afternoon session will cover the full frame Leica M9 and available Leica optics.

 

 

PRICING.  Leica Akademie Package prices range from $370 to $570 and include meals and hotel room for participant (plus guest or member sharing room, if applicable).   

 

LIMITED ENROLLMENT.  The Akademie is limited to 20 participants.  If you are interested in attending the Akademie, please contact the LHSA office at (502) 895-7272 or email us at info@lhsa.org.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY.  In the event of cancellation of your Akademie registration on or before August 12, 2010, the amount paid will be refunded, less a $200 cancellation charge.  No Akademie refunds will be given after August 12.
