Q:

How do I post images to the Member Gallery?

A:

Log into your account and on the profile page menu, scroll down to "Post to Gallery."  When you click on this line, you will receive a form.  From here you can upload images from your computer and add a description, type of equipment used, etc. 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Q:

As a member of the LHSA, how do I log into the new site?

A:

Click on Membership, then My Account.  Enter your email address and the passcode you received on May 8 in an email from LHSA.org.  If you have joined since May 8, 2009, you received a passcode at the time you joined. 

If the email address you are entering is not registered with the LHSA, you will not have access to the Membership area of the site.  Try entering your previous email address.

If you have forgotten your passcode, click on the "Forgot your passcode?" link, enter your email, and a message will be sent to you which will allow you to reset your passcode.  

 

 

 

 


Q:

Can you edit the verbage associated with an already accepted picture?

A:

YES....after logging in, go to the "My account" page and, on the left, under the GALLERY heading, you will find "My showcase". Clicking on these words will take you to a page showing all of your contributions to the GALLERY section. The red buttons on the right will allow you to EDIT anything you want to change, or DELETE any image. When you have finished your alterations go to the bottom of the page and click on the red UPDATE button.

 

 

 


Q:

How do I change my Directory listing so that other members can contact me?

A:

After you log in, under My Profile you will see the various boxes of information that can be checked so that your information is visible in the Directory.  (The Directory is restricted to members only so is not on public view). 

If you check the box that contains your email address, your actual email address will not be shown on the site.  Rather, other members will see a button that reads "Send email to this member."   If they wish to contact you, they will be asked to fill out a form with their name and email address.  You will then receive an email from LHSA.org with the contact request. 

 

 

 


Q:

How do I search for information in the Viewfinder archives?

A:

In the Viewfinder archives, go to "Keyword Search" and enter a keyword(s).  Results will be returned showing the Viewfinder issue in which the information appears.  Click on the line which contains the Volume and No. of the issue.  A search box should then appear on your page as the issue loads, and the highlighted text containing the keywords will appear in the box.
