As a member of the LHSA, how do I log into the new site?

Click on Membership, then My Account. Enter your email address and the passcode you received on May 8 in an email from LHSA.org. If you have joined since May 8, 2009, you received a passcode at the time you joined.
If the email address you are entering is not registered with the LHSA, you will not have access to the Membership area of the site. Try entering your previous email address.
If you have forgotten your passcode, click on the "Forgot your passcode?" link, enter your email, and a message will be sent to you which will allow you to reset your passcode.

Can you edit the verbage associated with an already accepted picture?

YES....after logging in, go to the "My account" page and, on the left, under the GALLERY heading, you will find "My showcase". Clicking on these words will take you to a page showing all of your contributions to the GALLERY section. The red buttons on the right will allow you to EDIT anything you want to change, or DELETE any image. When you have finished your alterations go to the bottom of the page and click on the red UPDATE button

How do I change my Directory listing so that other members can contact me?
|

After you log in, under My Profile you will see the various boxes of information that can be checked so that your information is visible in the Directory. (The Directory is restricted to members only so is not on public view).
If you check the box that contains your email address, your actual email address will not be shown on the site. Rather, other members will see a button that reads "Send email to this member." If they wish to contact you, they will be asked to fill out a form with their name and email address. You will then receive an email from LHSA.org with the contact request.

How do I search for information in the Viewfinder archives?

In the Viewfinder archives, go to "Keyword Search" and enter a keyword(s). Results will be returned showing the Viewfinder issue in which the information appears. Click on the line which contains the Volume and No. of the issue. A search box should then appear on your page as the issue loads, and the highlighted text containing the keywords will appear in the box.

How do I change my password?

Under Membership, My Account, look at the menu on the lefthand column. Toward the bottom of the column is a link to change your password. We suggest your new password be at least 7 characters and a combination of letters and numerals.
If you forget your password, go to Membership, My Account, click on "Forgot Password," enter your email address, and a message will be sent which will enable you to reset your password. Only you will know your password.. the LHSA Administrative Office does not have access to this information.

Catalog Marketplace is an LHSA member benefit and there is no charge for listings. Classified ads are $125 for 90 days. Both members and non-members may place Classified ads.

When I type in www.lhsa.org, I still see the old site. What is happening?

Try refreshing your page. If that does not work, then restart your computer before typing in www.lhsa.org. If your computer is still loading the old website, click on the Start button on the lower left corner of the screen. Select Control Panel, click on Internet options, and delete all browsing history and cookies.

Why are there so few (or no) listings under Catalog Marketplace (public)?
|
A:
|
Members initially post their items for sale in Catalog Marketplace (Members) that appears only to LHSA members. When posting a new listing, the member is given the option to direct that hte listing automatically post to the public side of the Marketplace after 15 days. Listings should begin posting on the public side of the new site by May 13, 2009. Once a listing is posted, it is subject to approval by the Administrator.
